The sculptures, the last of which was installed 30 years ago this year, 2024年是“书呆子年”, like a museum display, licensed merchandise and more.
“The Eggheads are alive and well on our campus,” said Rachel Teagle,
That support for the arts dates back to the 1960s,

Kirk Arneson, one of his sons, 回忆起当时的总理埃米尔·马克和约翰·塔珀, founding dean of the future School of Medicine, 走在校园里,打开一扇门,发现阿内森正在努力工作 sculpting a toilet.
. “He loved Davis. It meant a lot for my dad to leave public art on this campus.”

Celebration continues
Signs of the celebration are all over campus, 从五个Egghead装置附近的新描述牌匾引导游客到 a new website 到色彩鲜艳的贴花,帮助游客找到他们的位置.
“It’s thrilling to be the first,” Roberts said. .”
That pop-up store, in the museum’s lobby, also features items like a scarf, The store is open noon to 5 p.m. Monday, Thursday and Friday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

A few steps away, also in the museum lobby, is "孵化:罗伯特·阿内森的蛋头的制作"这是一个新展览 featuring Arneson’s original, 这是有史以来第一次展出的小尺寸Egghead模型.
Kirk Arneson said aside from members of his family,
“You can actually see Arneson’s hand in them,” said Ginny Duncan,
The power of art
Elsewhere on campus Thursday,
“We should get this for our apartment,” a student said to another,

Sandy Shannonhouse, Arneson’s widow and a sculptor and UC Davis alum,
“I'm here to tell you it changed my life,” she said. “I came here thinking I was going to be a chemistry student.”
She also offered advice for the students in attendance.
“Find yourself, because whether you're making art or doing something else, it all comes from in here,” she said, gesturing to her heart.
